Cindy Wimmer Bracelets & The Challenge

About a week ago at 1:00 a.m. I was catching up on my favorite blogs. Cindy Wimmer had probably just logged off. The blog post was on these three awesome bracelets and how they were for sale in her Etsy shop. I raced over to the shop with anticipation of them already sold. No way! They were still up for grabs. As we know, there is generally nothing for sale in Cindy's shop for very long. I could not wait for them to arrive and as you can see they were worth waiting for. As usual, Cindy and I exchanged emails on the arrival and she was relieved they fit me so well. Included in her email was a compliment that ended up to be my personal challenge. She said "btw, you could have made these yourself". So, I reflected on that comment last evening and said to myself let me make this trio a foursome.

But before I show you that, you have to see this Cindy necklace I purchased over a year ago. This is one of my favorite necklaces that I will cherish forever.

The personal challenge that Cindy unknowingly gave me in that email last week is this gold and black bangle.
I am super pleased with the results and love the way the bracelets all work together. Cindy, thank you for making me reach a little higher.

When I am not making jewelry, this is my other world of crafting.  How cute is that...
A late addition is this cowl neck piece with an open weave design. I have had this yarn for a few months. The fiber content is more cotton, so I had to find a pattern to support it. This open weave crochet design worked out perfect. This will be going to a friend for her birthday.

  1. What a wonderful post and such a nice surprise! Firstly, thank you so much for purchasing the bracelet set - it's funny how we both happened to be up so late that night. And what a relief that they fit you so perfectly! I think it was meant to be.
I was excited to hear that you were up for a challenge! And then I was wondering - what challenge! But of course I remember writing that you could truly make your own bangles. You really blew it out of the ball park!! Your gold and black bangle is amazing!! I knew you could do it & I love how you added your own twists. Your bracelet would work perfectly with any and all in the set, especially the one you paired it with in the pictures. You sure made my day sharing this with me!
And I really love your sweet hat. Love that one spotted eye. I showed Nathaniel he just loves it!!!
